Experience
- Gave scientists a desktop workspace to inspect raw materials-analysis and X-ray instrument data, building an Electron and TypeScript application with a Java backend and Rust processing pipelines.
- Developed noise correction, contrast adjustment, and image transformations for scientific research and downstream AI analysis of material origin and authenticity.
- Reduced storage requirements and accelerated uploads and downloads with custom compression informed by PNG and adapted to the instrument data.
- Freed the front-desk computer for customer service by building native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps used in-store to scan and box Amazon returns on phones.
- Reverse-engineered return-label barcodes and stored scans locally, then encoded each box's batch in a printed QR label. One scan at the computer checked in the batch and generated the official shipping label, replacing the temporary label.
- Delivered and maintained WordPress sites for agency clients, extending site functionality with custom PHP plugins.
- Restored malware-infected client sites with a custom WordPress plugin that detected malicious code patterns, removed injected code, and repaired affected pages.
